Tiny Spherical Worlds

Composite photos (or panos) are really important if you are near a very beautiful landscape or surrounding because if you just take one picture it wont be able to capture all of it. Then if you decide to do a composite photo it can see all around you and capture more of the beauty than just one picture. In the making of a composite photo we took ten different pictures that overlap by 10%. Why not just one picture? Well if you only took one picture you wouldn't be able to see what your eyes cant see. A composite picture is a photo is a fantastic way to take a photo, it really lets your eyes see more then normal!

Polar and spherical panos are different but similar in some ways. they are different because a spherical because a polar pano multiple pictures smushed together into one and turned into a circle and it ends up looking like a realistic tiny world. A spherical pano is a different thing. A spherical pano is a bunch of photos smushed together and then turned around so the world or land is surrounding the sky. These two are similar because they most of the steps that are needed are the same. All the steps are the same except when making a spherical pano you skip the step "turn 180 degrees" , thats what gives it the world around the sky effect.

i think that my finished results are convincing in multiple ways! One of the reasons that it is, is because I edited the pictures to look abnormal and a slight bit unusual but still a little bit realistic. Also by putting the pictures into a world shape makes it look like an actual planet or world!! And lastly the viewers of my image will probably look at it and think that I put a lot of work into it, which I did.

Hockney Style Joiners

I think that David Hockney's photomontages and my photomontages are very different. One way that our photomontages are different is that I think mine look more realistic. Another reason is that David Hockney has had a lot more experience and has taken a lot more pictures than me so his images are going to be more advanced than mine.

Images can send any kind of messages. The filter of a picture can even send a message. For example, if I took a picture with a black and white filter it might look mysterious or scary. It also depends on what the picture is  of.  If the picture is of something happy like a beautiful, vibrant flower it's going to send a positive message.  If the flower looks dead and is drooping chances are that it will send off negative messages.

For my photomontage I decided to take a picture of a goal with a super pretty sunset background. Im hoping that my final image will give the audience a positive message. Also that I am a hard working athlete. All of my pictures that I posted on my Google+ look very inspirational and beautiful. So, that is what I tried to do with taking the pictures for the final. I try to make all of my photos show and describe my personality and my hobbies. Hopefully my audience see's that this picture describes me.

2016 ASPIRATIONS

One of my five goals that I will try to accomplish in 2016 is to eat better foods like salad instead of sweets. Another one of my goals is to keep my grades up for the rest of my 7th grade year, so far I haven't gotten a grade lower than a B. Working out and running more is definitely an important goal to accomplish in 2016. I also want to do something good for myself and surf more often in new and different spots. And my last goal is to be more organized in school and out.

My most important goal out of the five would have to be to be more organized in school and out. I think organization was hard for me in 2015 so I definitely want to try to improve. Also its very important for me to be organized at this point in my life because i have a lot going on especially in school. This is very important skill in everyones life so I really hope that this will help me in 2016.

Steps to organization aren't to easy so I am going to have to commit to this. the first step is to clean and organize all of my school work, on computers, in books and in folders. Next step is to organize and clean everything outside of school which would be at home, in the car and in the yard. My last step is to stay organized from then on and keep everything neat and tidy. I really think that this is going to make 2016 a really easy year for me.

Scratch Game Design

User experience definitely influenced the way made my Scratch game because this was a project that the whole class would see. I needed to impress them with something creative and fun to play. Based off off that i tried to find the most creative characters possible. I also checked out all of the backgrounds and music to find a creative one.  My GT teacher was also going to see this so i had to follow the requirments.

I think that my two games are very different but the same in some ways. For example, one way that they are the same is that I used the some of the same codes for them like the arrow keys code. One way that I think they are different is that the Platform game I had to make a lot more sprites than my chase because i needed to have the platforms, the box, the ground, and the sprite that the player controls (Monkey).

The most advanced code out of my games would have to be falling which was included in the plat former game. This code included 2 data blocks (Gravity, Velocity). This definitely took a while. The biggest bug was also in my plat former game, it was jummping, falling and staying on the plat forms. I think out of all my games the plat former game was the hardest for me.

Invention Comercial

P2T5_Invention from Kapaa Middle School MEDIA on Vimeo.
The main goals for my team in this assignment was to make the class laugh while telling what our invention does. Also to get in the top three best commercials out of the class, and we were successful with that because we got second... that was a big accomplishment for us!Another goal we had was to make everyone that watched it feel like they had to get our product or that they couldn't live without it.

I think the best team that we had was after filming and was not on camera, it was our little secret moment. So what happened was that Blossom, Wailana and I went for a sunset surf at the Hanalei Pier and that was really fun. I swear we were out till like 7 pm just surfing our hearts out! I gotta say there were a lot of other little moments where we just started bust laughing at the weirdest things... I think I had the best group that EVER!!

During post production editing all of us had different jobs. Wailana was in charge of cropping and cutting all of the videos to perfection. Blossom was in charge of the sound and lighting and making sure there wasn't any dark, shaky, or super bright shots. I was in charge of the transitions and making all of the shots switch smoothly. We all contributed in helping to find the perfect back round music that matched our commercial.

Composition Scavenger Hunt

I think the most important composition technique is the Rule of thirds scenery because there are a lot of pictures that contain this composition. In my class rule of thirds (scenery) was the easiest to get... thats good because now we can point out all of the pictures by famous artists that are rule of thirds scenery. This is a really important composition technique because it can be used in all types of photography. It also makes pictures more engaging and better balanced.

Leading lines was the most difficult composition technique for my class and I because it was hard to find a perfect spot where there was leading lines. Although, there was a lot of places that had leading lines it was hard for my class to step back and look where all of the lines were leading. Another problem with leading lines is that it also required an object where the lines were leading and i guess it was hard for my class and I to put the object in the right place.

Teamwork was a very important skill in this project. This project was about finding out new positions and techniques about filming. Each teammate had her own job... Blossom and wailana were the actresses in each scene. I was the editor, I edited all of the videos to their finest. So without teamwork we wouldn't of been able to complete this project.

Cracking the Code

I think that everyone should learn how to code no matter what they plan on doing or what job they have. Why? Because what if your job started using technology, you would be one step ahead. Also its just good to know how to code. What if you wanted to make your own website, you would know how to create and personalize it. Code will pop up eventually in your life so it would probably be a good idea to start learning, if already known train. Everyone should learn how to code!

The first time I ever used code was when I was in 5th grade in Kilauea Elementary.  I have to say it is confusing at first but it helps if you are patient. I definitely had a hard time figuring out  which direction was which and how much to turn. It wasn't just me that was confused everyone in my class was confused at the time.  But once you get used to it it gets addicting and you just want to keep learning about it. That's what happened to me!  This was probably one of the most fun computer classes that I ever had in Kilauea School!

If I could design a program or game it would be a surfing game. The game would be called surf how you like. The game would work with three different controls, up down, right left and tricks. In this game you could customize your character and their surfboard. You could also pick a different surf spot when you complete  each level. To complete a level you would have to complete new tricks.
